My two volume series gives stories of Amish and Mennonite church communities in the Southeast. Here is an update of recent events.
Marco Guete, conference minister of the Southeast Mennonite Conference, has sent an e – Post. He reports visits to churches in Gainesville, Florida, Atlants, Georgia, and Anderson, South Carolina. He also reports a possible church planting effort in Key West, Florida.
This is an efficient way for the Conference Minister to communicate with anyone who has a connection with the church in the Southeast. His e – posts add to the record of growth in the last 30 years.
We just heard via Linda Leatherman in Atlanta that Macon Gwinn, Berea Mennonite Church’s second pastor I believe recently died. I have no more details and perhaps you already knew this.
No, I had not heard this sad news. Perhaps Carl or Elvin can give us more details. Thanks for giving us this information
